In driving regional priorities, CIRDA leads and supports initiatives that could prove transformational for the Central Indiana Region, building upon quality of place, public health, infrastructure, and workforce development in key industries
Indiana Economic Development Corporation's READI grant program awarded CIRDA to execute its plan to bolster development along the White River in Hamilton and Marion Counties.
The IEDC grant program, READI 2.0, encourages RDAs to come together to propose projects for large infrastructure projects.
The NSF Engines program will fund the development of Regional Innovation Engines that will cultivate and sustain activities in use-inspired research and development. Indiana is pursuing the Heartland Engine for Advanced Life Sciences Manufacturing (HEALS).
In January 2025, CIRDA was awarded a $1.6 million, through the Department of Transportation's Reconnecting Communities planning grant, for a pedestrian bridge over the White River in Noblesville.
