In 2024 CIRDA was awarded and is currently administering $45M in IEDC READI funds for economic development projects throughout the region. The READI projects (exclusive of additional Lilly Endowment Funds for blight projects in the region) are estimated to culminate in more than $1.6B in investment in Central Indiana with more than $450M of private funds invested in 18 regionally impactful projects.
With more coming online in the future, these are some of the projects that READI 2.0 grants have helped fund:
FRANKLIN ACTIVE ADULT CENTER
Franklin, Indiana – Completed 2025
Open in June of 2025, the Franklin Active Adult Center serves residents ages 55+ by engaging with seniors in promoting healthy aging, social connection, and lifelong learning. The $5 million project was preliminarily awarded a $750,000 READI 2.0 grant administered by CIRDA.
ECHO HOLLOW NATURE PARK
Plainfield, Indiana – Completed 2024
Located in Plainfield, Echo Hollow Nature Park is a comprehensive, world-class 1,928 acre outdoor space designed to spur recreation, tourism, and economic development. The $52.7 million development received a $2.8 million READI 2.0 allocation administered by CIRDA.
PARK & POPLAR
Westfield, Indiana – Project Announced
A mixed-use redevelopment project, Park & Poplar is designed to meet Westfield’s needs while revitalizing the downtown area – creating a premier destination for the community. The $164 million project received a $4 million READI 2.0 grant administered by CIRDA.
OLD INDIANAPOLIS CITY HALL
Indianapolis, Indiana – Project Announced
With a rich history as City Hall and the Indiana State Museum, this project aims to restore and preserve the building as part of a 32-floor mixed use project. The $264 million project received $8 million in READI 2.0 funds administered by CIRDA.
