ABOUT CIRDA
The Central Indiana Regional Development Authority (CIRDA) was established through bi-partisan legislation to create a more unified, strategically aligned, and developed region. Recognizing the immense potential of Central Indiana and the need for a dedicated entity to drive regional initiatives, CIRDA promotes unprecedented cooperation among its diverse communities and the private and not-for-profit sectors. Our creation marked a significant step forward in Central Indiana’s commitment to proactive, long-term growth and competitiveness nationally.
CIRDA MEMBERS
What started with just eight municipalities has blossomed into a powerful regional alliance. Driven by a shared commitment to growing Central Indiana, enhancing our quality of place, attracting and retaining top talent, and strategically aligning public, private and not-for-profit initiatives, CIRDA now proudly represents 30 official member communities as of summer 2025. This rapid growth means CIRDA currently serves 90% of the population within the Indianapolis-Carmel-Anderson MSA, and we’re continually working to expand our reach, ensuring a stronger, more unified Central Indiana. Membership is open to any municipality in Central Indiana.
